Google Cloud announced an expanded collaboration with Sponix Tech, the Qatar-based sports technology provider, that has been providing a first-of-its-kind immersive match experience for football fans around the world. Leveraging Google Cloud’s infrastructure, Sponix Tech has provided two differentiated technology solutions that are used by broadcasters, football leagues and clubs in the Middle East and Europe.

In close cooperation with beIN ports, Sponix Tech has mplemented its technology at a FIFA tournament for the first time. The FIFA Arab Cup 2021 is being held under the provision of FIFA in Qatar between 16 Arab countries.

This is to announce that the cooperation with beIN Sports has officially started today. With special thanks to beIN Media Group managers to make this happen after months of negotiation and tests, the FA Cup match on January 8 was the beginning of our work with beIN Sports.

For each game, Sponix Tech team was creating three to four videos and sending it back to RMC Sports production team. The processing time of creating each video was between 7 to 18 minutes; a great record in the business which shows how much the technology is advanced.

Sponix Tech is producing immersive content for the remaining games of the UEFA Champions League. The games are returning after the postponement in March because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sponix Tech's point of view technology was applied in the UAE Cup Final.This year’s match, one of the most important matches in UAE football, was held between Al Nasr and Shabab Al-Ahli, in Zabeel Stadium.

Benfica against Aves in the Portuguese Primeira Liga was the first time that Sponix’s point of view technology was used in Europe. Sponix has become a tech partner of Benfica TV in order to produce PoV shots of S.L. Benfica.

The UAE Cup concluded in March with Shabab Al Ahli beating Al Wahda in the final, played at the Hazza Bin Zayed (HBZ) Stadium in Al Ain.To capture the emotion on the field for football fans, the Pro League Committee (PLC) applied the latest technologies in sports broadcast for these matches. The tournament started in August last year and a total of 45 matches were played.
